Children’s Museum Birthday Party

Make your next birthday celebration a day to remember with a party at The Children’s Museum. A birthday party includes:

  • 40 guests (adults and children)

  • All-day museum admission

  • Party host for assistance

Party Details

Party Guests

  • A birthday party includes up to 40 guests (including adults and children).  We recommend you have at least 1 adult for every 3 children at your party.

  • You can add up to 15 additional guests at a cost of $11 plus tax per person.

  • Party guests have access to all-day museum play.

  • All children MUST be accompanied by an adult during playtime in the Museum.

Party Room

  • There will be 15 minutes to set up before the party starts. Clean up is included in your booked time.

  • A party host will be there to lend a hand during the party.

  • The room has tables, chairs, and butcher paper to cover the tables.

  • Make the party space your own with decorations (only scotch tape is allowed), party favors and balloons. These items are not included in the party package. No wall decorations please. Balloons are not allowed for Garden Parties, this is a park rule.

  • Items not allowed into the party room include, but are not limited to, confetti, silly string, glitter, pinatas and wall decorations.

Party Food & Beverages

  • You may bring birthday cake, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.

  • Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in birthday celebrations.

Cancellation & Reschedule Policy

  • A $100 deposit payment is due at the time of party booking. Balance is due the day of the party.

  • Cancellations must be received at least two weeks prior to a party date for a refund minus a $25 cancellation fee. Cancellations within two weeks of a party date will not be given a refund.

  • Rescheduling requests must be received at least two weeks prior to a party date and are subject to $25 rescheduling fee. No rescheduling requests will be accepted within two weeks of a party date.

  • Rescheduling or cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to birthday@childrensmuseumtc.org.

Party Guests

  • A birthday party includes up to 70 guests (including adults and children).  We recommend you have at least 1 adult for every 3 children at your party.

  • You can add up to 20 additional guests at a cost of $11 plus tax per person.

 

Birthday Party Frequently Asked Questions

  • Although we have outdoor picnic tables and indoor eating areas, they are not available for impromptu celebrations. We welcome all guests to play and enjoy the museum.

  • The birthday child, siblings ad parents are included in the guest count.

  • The Children’s Museum Team will offer support as you set up, be available should you need assistance during the party and help you clean up when it’s over.

  • No, we do not have an area to store your party items. Please remember that The Children’s Museum does not have prep or refrigeration space available.

  • Our parties include 90 minutes, or 3 hours, in a private party room and additional time is not available.

  • Yes, we do not provide food or cakes. Please be aware that all food should be delivered or brought in ready to serve as no prep or refrigeration space is available.

  • No, there is no cake included in the party package. You are welcome to purchase or make your own cake or cupcakes to serve to your guests.

  • The birthday family may enter the room 15 minutes prior to the party start time to set up and prepare to greet guests.

  • There are 3 tables that are 2.5 ft x 3.67 ft that are set up for children to eat and celebrate.

    There is one 8 ft x 30 inch table for food, presents and cake.

    Additional chairs are around the room for adult seating.

  • The party room is scheduled for you for 90 designated minutes only. If you or your guests are late, we cannot shift the party time due to other families celebrating that day. You and your guests are welcome to play in the museum, but the room is only available for that 90 designated minutes.

  • Alcoholic beverages are not permitted at any time.
