After Hours Party

$465 Members | $515 Non-Members

An After Hours Party includes 20 children. Additional children are $11 each.
Maximum capacity: 70 guests total — 20 party children and up to 50 adults.
ALL children must be supervised at all times. A minimum ratio of 1 adult for every 3 children is required.

Birthday Party Rules & Information

Party Guests

A birthday party includes 15 children. Additional children are $11 each.
Maximum capacity: 40 guests total — 15 party children and up to 25 adults.
ALL children MUST be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times while playing in the Museum.
Your party includes:

  • Party Host to assist with setup, birthday cake time and breakdown

  • All-day Museum play for party guests

  • Surprise gift for the birthday child

  • White plates, clear cups, napkins and white cutlery

Party Room

You will have 15 minutes before your party begins for setup. Cleanup is included in your booked party time.
A Party Host will be available to lend a hand during the party.
The room includes tables, chairs and butcher paper to cover the tables.
You may bring decorations, party favors and balloons. Only Scotch tape may be used. No wall decorations are permitted.
Balloons are not permitted for Garden Parties due to park rules.
Not permitted: confetti, silly string, glitter, piñatas and wall decorations.

Party Food & Beverages

You may bring birthday cake, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.
Alcoholic beverages are not permitted at birthday celebrations.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

A $100 deposit is due at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due the day of the party.
Cancellations must be received at least two weeks before the party date to receive a refund, minus a $25 cancellation fee. Cancellations received within two weeks of the party date are non-refundable.
Rescheduling requests must be received at least two weeks before the party date and are subject to a $25 rescheduling fee. Rescheduling requests will not be accepted within two weeks of the party date.
All cancellation and rescheduling requests must be submitted in writing to birthdays@childrensmuseumtc.org.

Birthday Party Frequently Asked Questions

  • Although we have outdoor picnic tables and indoor eating areas, they are not available for impromptu celebrations. We welcome all guests to play and enjoy the museum.

  • The birthday child, siblings, and parents are included in the guest count.

  • The Children’s Museum Team will offer support as you set up, be available should you need assistance during the party and help you clean up when it’s over.

  • No, we do not have an area to store your party items. Please remember that The Children’s Museum does not have prep or refrigeration space available.

  • Our parties include 90 minutes, or 3 hours, in a private party room and additional time is not available.

  • Yes, we do not provide food or cakes. Please be aware that all food should be delivered or brought in ready to serve as no prep or refrigeration space is available.

  • No, there is no cake included in the party package. You are welcome to purchase or make your own cake or cupcakes to serve to your guests.

  • The birthday family may enter the room 15 minutes prior to the party start time to set up and prepare to greet guests.

  • There are 3- tables that are 2.5 ft x 3.67 ft that are set up for children to eat and celebrate.

    There are 2- 8 ft x 30 inch table for food, presents and cake.

    Additional chairs are around the room for adult seating.

  • The party room is scheduled for you for 90 designated minutes only. If you or your guests are late, we cannot shift the party time due to other families celebrating that day. You and your guests are welcome to play in the museum, but the room is only available for that 90 designated minutes.

  • Alcoholic beverages are NOT permitted at any time.
