Let us bring the magic of  The Children’s Museum to you!

Outreach Adventure

Cost: $3.00 per student (a minimum of 50 students)  

Each session is 45 minutes(A maximum of 30 students per session , 2 sessions must be booked per location with a minimum of 50 students)

 

Florida’s History “Dig It”
Cost: $5.00 per student (A minimum of 50 students)

Program has four stations and runs 2 hours

(Half hour at each station)                                

  

Environmental Programs
Reduce, Recycle, Reuse. We all know these words but do we live by them?
These programs are designed to teach about the importance of getting involved and being

proactive about helping our environment.

Bag of Trash (Grades K-5) What can we make? Random trash is transformed.
Wire Sculpture (Grades 3-5) Bend & twist wire, learn to reuse wire & make cool sculptures!

Paper Making (Grades K-5)Explore ancient Chinese ways of making paper.
Self Portrait (Grade 3-5) Transform recycled materials into an amazing self portrait!

 

World Culture Programs (Grades K-5)

Celebrate different cultures with art, language and history.
Learn about artifact, customs and traditions of yesterday and today.

Around the World: Countries include  Asia, Ancient Egypt, Latin America, Ancient Greece or   Africa.
Florida’s History - We explore the history right here in our own backyard.  Learn about the people who were here before us.  Students will examine pottery shards and discuss the evolution of pot making while making their own pots out of clay. 

Dig It - The full Florida History program "Dig It"  is available for an additional charge. This interactive program introduces students to archeology in Florida. Students will rotate throught four learning stations.  Archaeological Dig – Shells - Clay Pots – Moon Dance.

 

Math Programs

Beat the Clock(Grades 3-5)-This is a math game show. Quick thinking, team work and math skills are used in an exciting and fun way.
My Money Matters(Grades K-5) This program is designed to teach students the basics of financial understanding.  Earn a paycheck, pay bills, save money and learn how math is used every day, everywhere! Students will practice buying, selling and giving change while learning about wants and needs.

 

Music & Art Programs (Grades K-2)

The program explores music, art and reading.
Visuals and a hands-on activity will implement topics discussed.

The Ocean- Why is important to protect our oceans? Read a book and paint a picture.
Seashells- Who use to live in the shells that we find at the beach? Read a book and

sculpt your own shell.
Rainforest Animals- Experience  the lives of rainforest animals and understand the concepts of comouflage, animal adaptations & animals needs. 

 

Health & Science

Adventures in Nutrition (Grades K- 5) Explore Nutrition food groups, serving size, exercise and the importance of making healthy food choices.
Germs, Germs, Germs (Grades K -5) Germs are everywhere! They are so small you can’t even see them.  Students will experiment and be amazed by the results.
