2001-Opening Day (2008)
  • Formed as a 501(c) 3 organization.
  • Received option to lease building at Indian Riverside Park
  • Established partnership with the Junior League of Martin County which conducted hand tile and community survey projects
  • Launched ChildsPlay newsletter..
  • Received $1 million matching community challenge grant from Wayne & Marti Huizenga Family Foundation
  • Launched "Dig It” traveling exhibit to area schools in conjunction with the Junior League of Martin County and SEFAS
  • Groundbreaking Ceremony
  • Began building renovation
  • Awarded $500,000 Cultural Facilities grant from the State of Florida
  • Held inaugural Treasurefest Family Fun Day 2005
  • Certificate of Occupancy issued
  • Phase One Exhibit fabrication begins in Orlando
  • Inaugural memberships offered
  • Educational Summer Camp begins.
  • Phase One opens in August while exhibit construction continues in Phase Two of museum

  • Opens Frances Langford's Our Town Wing
  • Educator's Guide is distributed to teachers and administrators along the Treasure Coast; Indian River, Martin, St. Lucie & Okeechobee
  • TCM Introduces the Art to Wear, Recycled Fashion Show
  • TCM Car Care Center opens 2009
  • TCM Vet Clinic opens 2010
  • The Bank of America Explorer's Gallery opens the first of 5 exhibits.
  • The Marti Frances Spanish Galleon opens December 2010.
  • TCM Launches Capital Expansion Campaign for completion of The Explorer's Gallery and Interactive Children's Garden.
