Fire Station
Generously sponsored by the Martin County Fire Fighters, IAFF Local 2959, the recently unveiled Fire Station exhibit at The Children’s Museum marks a significant upgrade from its predecessor. Thanks to the support of the firefighters, the old fire truck has been replaced with an interactive and educational display. The new exhibit boasts a modern fire truck complete with a second-story ladder and bucket, an interactive pump panel featuring switches and lights controlling realistic sounds, and an authentic emergency vehicle flashing light. Adjacent to the fire truck, young visitors can practice fire safety by crawling through a simulated smoke-filled tunnel. Positioned atop the tunnel is a house and building, illuminated to mimic a real fire with accompanying crackling noises and authentic firefighter radio calls, creating an immersive and educational experience for all.
